New York City singer-songwriter Mike Adkins combines his powerful voice and his fulgent acoustic guitar to deliver simple yet deeply meaningful songs to his audience. His prose is filled with passion and pathos, commitment and betrayal, love and loneliness. Originally from Springfield, Ohio, 25-year-old Adkins planted himself in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn in 2009. He released two full length albums as lead vocalist with two independent Ohio bands--Alert the Press and Gift of the Estate--in 2008. His success in those projects motivated him to move to New York and pursue his solo career. Adkins live shows often earn him frequent comparisons to similarly emotional acoustic artists like Secondhand Serenade, Dashboard Confession, and City & Colour.
