Box Five is the classical-meets-pop ensemble of one Mary Bichner; a zany, lovable redhead with the musical superpowers of both perfect pitch (the ability to recognize notes and chords by name, simply upon hearing them played) and synesthesia (a bizarre neurological condition which causes Mary to "see" splashes of specific colors when she hears their corresponding pitches). Mixing 18th century elegance into catchy, clever pop; Box Five have performed everywhere from the Philadelphia Museum of Art to the infamous Cloud Club in Boston. For this particular performance, Mary is delighted to be joined onstage by violinist Eliza Kopczynska and bassist Brian Hopely.
