Allison Tartalia

Date:
Fri, 08/06/2010 - 10:00pm

"Tartalia is to pop music what granola is to cereal." - NYRock.com

Indeed, Allison is not your run-of the-mill songwriter. Her unconventional arrangements, brutally honest lyrics, and wry humor make for performances that are as unforgettable as they are unpredictable. Audiences are taking notice at clubs, colleges and festivals around the country.

Hello Nurse

Date:
Sat, 07/24/2010 - 10:00pm

Hello Nurse is like Fedex at the Geology department: we’re delivering the rock. We’re like a quarryman with a pickup truck: delivering the rock. We’re like a crack dealer with a backpack: delivering the rock. That sweet, sweet rock.

Hello Nurse just wants to let you know: it’s OK to sing along; it’s OK to dance. We know the songs are catchy – we built them that way. It’s fine if you get sweaty – trust us, Hello Nurse is just as sweaty as you.

Flavie Fontaine (France)

Date:
Thu, 08/12/2010 - 8:00pm

Flavie Fontaine is french and live in Paris where she acts for the theater. When she's not on stage performing she retreats to compose, write and play her folky melancolic songs. Once the loneliness rises its peak, she goes and wanders where her mood and feelings lead her. This time Flavie Fontaine ends up in New York.

Deb Oh

Deb Oh writes songs that evoke the pre-dawn sidewalks of New York City, the fluorescent peaks of Denali, and all of the jaded naiveté in between. She sings with reluctant honesty, hushed precision, and soulful urgency. There's a clock on her bedroom wall that's been stuck at 7:42 for over a year now. The second hand continues ticking, but never moves forward. She finds this immensely intriguing.

Lizzy Loeb

A 23-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist and the daughter of jazz guitarist/producer Chuck Loeb, and Spanish singer/composer Carmen Cuesta, Lizzy was born in New York City and grew up in both the US and Spain.

She was raised in a household environment full of music, with a studio in the garage, and some of the top musicians in the world coming in to record.

Lizzy's musical studies began early with piano lessons, and playing flute in the school band, as well as singing in the choir. But it wasn't until she was fifteen that she took up the guitar and began writing and singing her own songs, which quickly became her passion, and ultimately her choice of a career.

Her musical influences are quite eclectic, ranging from James Taylor,jOni Mitchel, Stevie Wonder and The Beatles to Ella Fitzgerald, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Mariah Carey and Sting. Her guitar influences are also diverse, including blues, jazz, and rock - but when asked, she’ll readily tell you her guitar hero is John Mayer.

She has performed in clubs and concerts in NYC, LA, Madrid, Hamburg, Berlin and London, and has built up a large fan base on MySpace, Facebook, and Youtube.

Lizzy has recorded on several CD's and during a time she was living in London she was also a featured performer on BBC 2’s ’Friday Night is Music Night’ with world acclaimed composer George Fenton, as both a singer, guitarist, and co-songwriter.

Lizzy has just self-released her first project as a recording artist "Drawing Lines", which was the number one CD on CDBaby.com <http://CDBaby.com>  for two weeks, with one track also being the number one most downloaded, "None Or Too Much".
